Cruise Night is just over 4 weeks away (1 August)so we are trying to prepare everything and see where we stand with volunteers.
Below is a list of what we need help with. If there is anything you can do or time you can give please let me know.
I have heard from some people so if you have responded with the hours you are coming and how many in your group
please disregard this e-mail. If you are part of an organization and have a rough idea of how many people will be coming,
that would be helpful.
List of tasks:
o 5:45 – 8:00PM transporting residents out to the car show staying with them and taking them around to see the cars and listen to the music. As many volunteers as possible
4:00PM – 6:00PM directing traffic for classic car parking and visitor parking as well, 3-4 volunteers.
5:45-8:00PM: directing inside traffic(directing volunteers to units and assisting with elevators. One will be stationed in the door 9 elevator, one at the TN nurses’ station, one by LEDU 1, and one on LEDU G. and they will rotate through during the event so they can get breaks and have an opportunity to get out and see the cars. This might be good for people who would like to be inside in the air conditioning for part of the time. 4-6 volunteers. THIS IS A NEW ADDITION.
7:15-7:45 – Collecting the cups in front of the cars and tallying the votes to determine the winners of 4 different categories.
Other tasks as needed throughout the night.
As always, thank you for all you do!!! I look forward to hearing from you!
